Do Da-hae (Chun Woo-hee) reveals herself as a con artist, causing the wedding to be called off. Bok Gwi-ju (Jang Ki-yong) questions whether the marriage registration and the fire from 13 years ago were also lies. Da-hae exposes that the story of her surviving a fire as a poor high school girl was a ploy for her schemes.
Gwi-ju regrets the many times he went back to Da-hae, realizing all their time together was built on lies. He resolves never to return to those moments with her again. Despite his resolve, he finds himself repeatedly drawn back into memories with Da-hae.
Baek Il-hong (Kim Geum-sun) demands an explanation from Da-hae, wondering if the Bok family has supernatural powers since Bok Man-heum (Go Doo-shim) seemed to know about Da-hae's deceit beforehand.
Da-hae: "Let's stop. If you regret saving me, kill me now, or I'll do it myself. Oh, and by the way, there's nothing left for you then."
Grace: "I saw it too! Bok Dong-hee (Claudia Kim) was floating in the air. This could be worth a lot of money!"
Jun-woo invites Bok I-na (Park So-yi) to have malatang after school, but she refuses until he mentions that Hye-rim wants her to come. Hye-rim outwardly invites her but internally thinks, "Don't come, get lost." I-na, sensing this, drops her glasses and runs away. Without her glasses, she hears everyone's thoughts and becomes terrified.
Thinking of Da-hae, I-na goes to the sauna. Il-hong, seeing her as a lucky charm, believes that if the Bok family accumulated wealth through supernatural means, they could pull off an even bigger scam, and she offers Da-hae another chance.
When I-na meets Da-hae, she realizes Da-hae has been locked. Using the pretext of adjusting I-na's glasses, Da-hae takes her to send her back to Gwi-ju, telling her not to return.
I-na: "Your mother thought she was testing you to see whose side you're on. She thought this was your last chance. If you let me go, she won't leave you alone."
Gwi-ju misunderstands Da-hae's intentions.
Da-hae: "This is the only time I'll return her nicely. Next time, I can't promise what will happen."
Gwi-ju has one last question for Da-hae.
Gwi-ju: "My late colleague had a family—a wife and a young son. Is this what the student he risked his life for grew into? Live your life meaningfully. Our time is truly over. I'll erase those memories and never return to them."
At that moment, a future version of Gwi-ju appears, warning that Dong-hee is in danger.
Da-hae: "Go to your sister... She's supposed to be in danger."
Gwi-ju saves Dong-hee, who had been pushed by Grace (Ryu Abel) to capture her flying. Seeing Gwi-ju injured while saving her, Man-heum slaps Da-hae.
Man-heum: "Stay away from my family. How dare you touch a child."
Da-hae: "You should have looked after her better. It was too easy. All I did was make eye contact."
Man-heum: "You picked on the weakest child."
Da-hae: "Superpowers aren't all that. Seeing the future, past, and everything... but missing what's right in front of you. What a waste. If I'd known it was this easy, I would have tried harder. Be prepared. My mother won't let go once she bites."
Despite her cold words, Da-hae wants to protect Gwi-ju's family from Il-hong.
I-na warns her father.
I-na: "She might be locked up somewhere, suffering. After ruining the wedding and sending me back, who knows what she's going through."
Returning to the past on the wedding day, Gwi-ju sees Da-hae being dragged away by Il-hong and understands why.
Gwi-ju: "She smashed everything beyond repair. She could have just quietly escaped. Was it necessary to make such a fuss? Was the con artist saving me?"
Realizing the truth, Gwi-ju seeks out Da-hae.
Gwi-ju: "Let's make a deal! Let's reset our relationship as strictly business."
Da-hae: "Are you proposing a collaboration?"
Gwi-ju: "The time I spent with you is a time-slip point. If you cooperate, my powers can be useful. We need to change the past. I'm going to hold onto you."
