The Atypical Family: Episode 6 Summary

Bok I-na (Park So-yi), who took her grandmother's watch as a friend's gift and joined the dance club, refuses to talk to her father Bok Gwi-ju (Jang Ki-yong). Although I-na wants to talk with Do Da-hae (Chun Woo-hee), Da-hae's inner thoughts are inadvertently revealed due to I-na's psychic abilities, leading Da-hae to retreat to the sauna.

Gwi-ju keeps urging Da-hae to converse with I-na, but Da-hae finds it increasingly difficult to face the unfolding events in Gwi-ju's household and the unsettling glimpses of a past she'd rather forget. Da-hae insists they should stop at this point. However, Gwi-ju begins to change. He starts exercising, tidying up the house, taking care of his daughter, and even tries to mend Da-hae's heart by visiting the sauna daily.

Gwi-ju: "I think I can go back to the time when I-na was born."

Da-hae: "Just watch over I-na. Taking the watch might be a small visible problem."

Gwi-ju: "I'll try to bring happiness. I'll reclaim the time when I-na was born. I'll find Da-hae and save her."

Da-hae, communicating secretly through eye signals, reveals that I-na needs to remove her glasses to read minds. When I-na questions why Da-hae caused such a commotion by coming to school, Da-hae explains it was because she was worried I-na might get into trouble. Da-hae, who suffered bullying in school, understands I-na's feelings better than anyone else and expresses concern that I-na might be overexerting herself to accommodate Hye-rim. I-na asks when Da-hae will come home.

I-na: "It's pointless to try and deceive when everything is already clear."

Da-hae: "It must have been scary to read other people's minds. You might have heard things you didn't want to. But if you keep suppressing it alone, it'll be harder for you."

I-na: "Let's meet at home. Fraudulent lady."

After Baek Il-hong (Kim Geum-sun)'s visit leaves Man-heum sleepless and restless, Um Soon-goo (O Man-seok) offers a glimmer of hope, mentioning that Gwi-ju's depression seems to be improving. Meanwhile, Finally, Gwi-ju demonstrates the return of his psychic abilities, claiming he can travel back in time, though only to the time he spent with Da-hae.

Man-heum, after a peaceful sleep at the sauna, has a prophetic dream, stating she saw Da-hae again and leaves the sauna with a determined expression. She warns her son not to return to the sauna.

Man-heum: "I've seen the end already!"

Gwi-ju: "I have to see the end with my own eyes too."

Man-heum eventually agrees to the marriage in her prophetic dream.

Gwi-ju: "The future is already decided. I'm quite looking forward to it. The fact that Da-hae is alive is evidence that I will eventually save her."

The wedding proceeds smoothly, and Soon-goo tells Da-hae that if he had been there for his wife, Da-hae would be the same for Gwi-ju.

Hye-rim, who accidentally overheard Jun-woo's confession to I-na at the amusement park, returns the watch and sneakers to I-na, lashing out at her with harsh words.

On the day of the wedding, Dong-hee claims to have found evidence that Da-hae is a fraud, leading to a confrontation with Grace (Ryu Abel). During the altercation, Bok Dong-hee (Claudia Kim) falls from the second floor, shocking Grace because Dong-hee floats above the floor.

Da-hae confesses at the wedding that she's a fraud, and Gwi-ju is the third target of her mother.

Da-hae: "I'm sorry. You can't save me, Gwi-ju."
