Cha Mi Rae (Lee Yoo Ri) is standing on a train platform after the train left because she heard Cha Sa Rang (Lee Re)'s cry out. The child runs to her mother and she tightly embraces her saying that she will never miss mom because she knows her smell. Shin Woo Hyuk (Seo Jun-Young) gets a call from Shik Sang Hae (Choi Dae Chul) who found collapsed Han Yeol (Lee Dong Gun) on the beach.
Mi Rae rushes to the scene of the accident. She narrates, "Body reacts before think it through rationally. That's one hundred percent, love!"
"Where did you hurt? Is it really sharp pain?" she feels horrible anxiety.
Yeol suddenly gives her a tight hug, "Don't walk out on me again. Stay within sight of me!"
The terminally ill patient promises to receive treatments to reduce the size of the tumor to make operable cancer. She tries to let it all hang out as her doctor advises. The family leads a happy existence doing what they wanted to do, for example, shopping, watching a sad movie, dancing, and chatting with friends, etc.
Yeol is offered the first team pitching coach with Uhm Ki Tae (Rak Joo Hyung) will become a new baseball coach. And Ryu Hyun Woo (Choi Min) asks Mi Rae to throw the first ball with her family in his comeback game as the starting pitcher.
Meanwhile, Sa Rang pesters a teacher to be involved in athletic for higher grade students of elementary school as a present of mother's operation success.
On throwing the first ball day, Mi Rae complained of cold pain is rushed to the emergency room. Yeol listens to the opinion of the doctor about the serious side effects of the chemotherapy. He sets the woman he loves at ease but goes up to the rooftop and shouts, "God will save her, please!" with tears in his eyes.
Mi Rae makes a perfect presentation for Yeol who gave up to be the first team pitching coach to look after the patient.
"I'm not a patient anymore. We both know that we did enough. The patient and the family are all frustrated at the end. I don't want you to ruin yourself because of me. How could I die left you alone? I'm so worried about you." she yells out.
"I'm sick and tired, too. I feel like I'm dead already. Quit everything. I don't care whether you live or die." he turns and left.
The broken-hearted woman drinks strong liquor with Shin Woo Hyuk. Hwang Ji Hye (Seo Ye Ji) also finds Yeol drinks alone. They bring them over the sports ground where Sa Rang runs as quick as she can. The parent looks at the daughter with vacant eyes and the young player tumbles all of a sudden. They run to her aid but she says, "Mom! Dad! I'm fine because I am your daughter. Why are you here? Have you already leave the hospital?"
"I'll go back to the hospital to receive treatment for cancer." she takes courage again thanks to the little girl.
The doctor brings the good news that her tumor is small enough to be removed as surgery. Sa Rang sings a cheerful song to encourage the mother with tears in her eyes.
Before she is rolled into the operating room, Yeol makes a formal proposal of marriage to her on his knees.
"Will you marry me? Please be my daughter's mother!" he says.
