'Yong-pal' Episode 2 Recap

Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won) and the gang leader give their pursuer the slip thanks to the clever doctor's wits. On the way to the hospital, he realizes he lost his scalpel and he feels uneasy.

Meanwhile, detective Lee (Yoo Seung Mok) has a smile of satisfaction picking up the bloodstained surgeon's knife with a serial number in the hostess bar.

Tae Hyun's mother desperately needed to be performed emergency surgery when she was carried into Han Sin hospital three years ago. The poor lady was on the point of being undergone the operation when an experienced surgeon was urgently summoned to operate another VIP who rushed to the hospital. 

Chief Lee (Jung Woong In) lies to detective Lee (Yoo Seung Mok) with a straight face about themes having been sold for scrap iron which was actually gone astray when he asks about the knife which was illegally used by the gang doctor.

Chief Lee who notices Tae Hyun is the gang doctor who calls out the young surgeon and calls him Yong-pal. The third-year resident immediately kneels down begging for his life. He introduces him to the director of the hospital as a money hugger who is not proud of what he does and the young doctor is ordered to treat for VIPs on the twelfth floor from tomorrow.

Tae Hyun is highly criticized for his decision for a critical patient without family to be sent to another care facility for suitable treatment because other doctors misjudge his real intentions.

Recalling his mother who died after several cardiac arrests, the skillful doctor secretly carries the poor patient to an operating room with a chief nurse without permission.

Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) finally wakes up from her three-year-long sleep. When a nurse arrives in the sickroom, she tries to hurt holding a sharp splinter to her throat. "Keep at a distance!" she speaks in a low as the nurse tries to get close to the heiress of Han Sin Group.
