'Yong-pal' Episode 14 Recap+Review

Being given the full treatment, Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won) feels uncomfortable with his first attendance after he got married.

He just feels easy with the two chief nurses who accept him the way he is.

He is cute! :)

After hearing the truth about his mother's death from Chief Lee (Jung Woong In) who shakes with horror, Tae Hyun is devasted, shocked beyond belief.

Meanwhile, according to Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee)'s direction, the Chief secretary (Choi Byeong Mo) buries the killer alive in the ground.

Lee Chae Young (Chae Jung An) prepares a special press conference to teach the new chairman a lesson but nobody comes without the sister-in-law's secretary. 

The cinderella man closes his eyes when he sees the hard-hearted wife driving an executive away so mercilessly.

"Yeo Jin was a scary child!" the butler relates an anecdote.

"She should be too lonely." Tae Hyun feels so sorry for the little girl who was forced to live as a successor.

The heiress smiles like an innocent child and she tries to take care of her husband's younger sister in America.

"Please stop evening the score!" Tae Hyun sincerely asks her not to harm Chief Lee.

"I will severely punish all the people who threw me in jail for a long time. They deserve death," she answers decisively. 

"Who did you keep in prison? Please stop! It's the last request." he says.

She drops tears with a sad expression on her face.

Kim showed a lovable smile like a girl who fell in love for the first time. :)

And her acting is more impressive.

In front of the public prosecutors' office, Chae Young witnesses a terrible scene of Han Do Joon (Jo Hyun Jae) is attacked by an armed man and taken to the Hansin Medical Center by ambulance.

OMG! Yeo Jin wanna force him to sleep???

'Yong-pal' Episode 13 Recap+Review

Han Do Joon (Jo Hyun Jae) and Chairman Go (Jang Gwang) get arrested immediately after Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won) arrives at the funeral home.

Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) apologizes with all her heart to the bereaved family of the former worker who committed suicide. 

I used to take great inward pleasure in seeing that evil is punished on TV series.

But, as you know, sometimes the reality is totally different. :(

Did the writer mean to be sarcastic about a few powerful individuals who move our society??

Lee Chae Young (Chae Jung An), who betrayed her husband, is hanging, able to do neither. Against all expectations, the sister-in-law treats her coldly. 

Being elevated to the upper class all of a sudden, Yong-pal is not used to this new world. However, the attractive folksy guy is shortly well-liked by those who work under the heiress.

"Dad, please help me!"

After hardening his face looking at a note from his attorney, chairman Go puts an end to himself before being examined by the prosecution.
Meanwhile, the stepbrother is still in very high spirits not realizing the situation.  

"Let's see who will be next Go?" she smiles showing the USB memory stick.
The chief secretary (Choi Byeong Mo) takes out the wheelchair in perfect silence.

Nice! Her acting has improved a lot.

Yeo Jin becomes a pure and happy woman when she is with her husband, on the contrary to this, she seems a completely different person as a charismatic female president. :)

Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) throws the USB memory stick before the Chief secretary (Choi Byeong Mo) who pledges absolute fidelity kneeling down.

Meanwhile, Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won) is out making illegal house calls at Man Sik (Ahn Se Ha)'s an urgent request, and Go sends a hitman to kill the doctor.

A double-cross or loyalty?? 

Chairman Go (Jang Gwang) questions whether the secretary's remarks are true.

The gang doctor gives Detective Lee (Yoo Seung Mok) first-aid measures for the pneumothorax patient.

I look forward to the great performance of the female lead next episode.
Joo Won looks exhausted. lol

Lee Chae Young (Chae Jung An) stands by the sister-in-law for her to abandon the young man. 

I don't understand when exactly "love" for the young doctor started and why she loves him pretty much. Please convince me!! I need a full explanation.

While registering a marriage to become Yeo Jin's legal guardian, Tae Hyun is caught in the fact. But he has the form completed thanks to Doo Chul (Song Jung Chul)'s present, the hitman, for the detective.

As the heiress attends her funeral, Han Do Joon (Jo Hyun Jae) claims that she needs him as a legal protector because she is mentally deranged.

"Tae Hyun! Come quickly!" she screams at herself.

Can't she do anything without him???
What is the writer's intention?? :(

Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) finds time for romance by holding Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won) tightly in her arms.

Meanwhile, Han Do Joon (Jo Hyun Jae) formally announces his step sister's death but the dead woman watches for an opportunity to make a comeback.

Can you see wrinkles gather around her eyes when she brightly smiles?

It is a natural and pretty~ :)    

Lee Chae Young (Chae Jung An) asks her husband for divorce jumping at the man who has clung to her.

I was curious from the beginning why she sooooo hates her husband.
At last, her secret has revealed but the contrived plot disappointed me. :(

Yeo Jin sends a text message to the sister-in-law to let her boyfriend get out of the hospital building and asks him to marry her.

The heiress watches video footage that his father left for her. Yeo Jin holds back her sobs as she realizes that she misjudged his real intentions.     

She gets a USB memory stick including whole information about secret funds of Hansin.

Slush fund? Seriously??
Isn't it way too predictable to be interesting? :(

Chief secretary (Choi Byeong Mo) arrives at the restricted area and he asks her what to do sarcastically.
"Kneel down!" she orders him with an authoritative tone of voice.

Freaking awesome!!

She captivated me with her charisma for the first time. :)

'Yong-pal' Episode 10 Recap+Review

I'm really glad there is no more romance in the 10th episode which doesn't lack dramatic tension.

If you wanna just start to watch the TV series, you might just as well skip the three previous episodes. :)

  

Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won) finds Kim So Hyun (Park Hye Soo) still staying in the hospital as a hostage.

Lee Chae Young (Chae Jung An) says that he will be safe with her than he would be by himself but he pays a visit to Han Do Joon (Jo Hyun Jae) and kneels down on the floor.

The surgeon writes a letter to Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) not returning to the church.   

"Live for yourself but for others!" he says goodbye to his sister leaving for America to have a surgical operation at the airport. The young patient feels nervous about the brother's tear-stained face telling her a hidden meaning.

The gang doctor bumps into Chief Lee (Jung Woong In) who is stabbed in the abdomen and he gives first aid to the patient. After Yong-pal spares his life, he is arrested on a charge of illegal medical operations.

I hate Detective Lee (Yoo Seung Mok) who hangs around the doctor with annoying(?) persistence. (No one can deny the actor delivers outstanding performances. Right?)
I'm not sure but I guess he will help the criminal at a critical moment.

Charge nurse, surgery (Kim Mi Kyung), visits the heiress to tell her her father's last will. The daughter weeps buckets in the middle-aged woman's arm.

Sitting alone in pews, she stares at the Cross, "God, you never grant my wish."  

When Kim Tae Hyun comes back to the hospital safely, he finds Chief Lee in a hospital bed without surgery.

Just then, the woman is walking out of the patient's room where she has been lying in a coma.

Why is she back?? Love or revenge?

'Yong-pal' Episode 9 Recap+Review

Actually, there is nothing to recap this episode. :(

It was worse than the previous one. Just a 50-minute romance???

Ok, let's write a script!

One helper or a key assistant for Jang Hyuk-rin, the main writer of the TV series, suddenly disappeared as he/she felt pressured because he/she found himself/herself caught in a plagiarism scandal with the new miniseries since it got high TV ratings. Or I can suppose the writer cannot exercise his/her imagination without references.

The storyline, situation, and lines of 'Yong-Pal' are very similar to a comic book 'City Conquer' by Shin Hyeong-bin. (I don't know the standards for plagiarism.) I can often see many arguments about plagiarism and people pay more attention to stealing to protect their intellectual property rights. (In my case, a site named zkpop stolen my recaps and articles and I let my lawyer send an e-mail about copyright violations. Sorry I wandered from the subject.)

Anyway, I hope the writer wakes up before a lot of viewers change channels as they reach the end of their patience. :)

Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) is undergoing rehabilitation through Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won)'s good offices in the cathedral. They recall and share their past.

Meanwhile, Chief Lee (Jung Woong In) shakes with fright as he hears that Nurse Hwang (Bae Hye Sun) was killed by a hit-and-run accident.

Lee Chae Young (Chae Jung An) who is not pretending that she is foolish anymore gives Han Do Joon (Jo Hyun Jae) a strict warning not to harm the young surgeon. She asks her father to find a young doctor.

The predictable story is boring but the beautiful scenery delights my eyes. :)

I'd like to Gwangwon-do!!!

Chief Lee cannot repress his astonishment as he confirms the unexpected death of the director of the hospital and he finds his passport to flee.

The gang doctor helps a pregnant woman whose water has broken one month earlier. The illegal alien has an emergency cesarean and her baby is born. Taking risks, he comes back to Hanshin hospital with the mother and baby are not doing well.
