Choi Min Woo (Ju Ji Hoon) barely saves Byun Ji Sook (Soo Ae) whose house is on fire and he loses his senses lying next to her. When the brave man wakes up at a long distance from the vacation home, he finds a bloodstained piece of white cloth in the vicinity.
A detective examines the missing lady's husband who hasn't remembered what had happened when the fire broke out and he is spotted as a prime suspect in a murder. Min Woo feels a great sense of loss because he doesn't know her original plan due to his stepsister tore the letter. He asks all around but he cannot find the woman he deeply loves.
Ji Sook woke up in an unfamiliar hospital room receives a proposal from Choi Mi Yeon (Yoo In Young) to leave the country without the other families knowing about her survival.
Min Woo finds out that an arsonist was abetted by Min Seok Hoon (Yeon Jung Hoon) from a friend whose job is a prosecutor, however, he is arrested without a warrant on the charge of murder due to the bad man's elaborate schemes.
Being taken to the police station, Min Woo gets a call from Ji Sook who has succeeded in escape and goes to the rescue of the wife giving his pursuers the slip. He asks his friend to trace the call and finally finds out the exhausted lady. They hug each other, sharing joys.
Mi Yeon who is haunted by guilt tells the whole truth to her mother and persuades her husband to turn himself in. Seok Hoon tells her that they will never pay for their crimes and she sheds a single teardrop staring at him.
Even though the husband tries to dissuade her, Ji Sook makes up her mind to turn herself in. Min Woo applies for medicine on the wound on her knee and passes his hand on her face to remember her face.
