'Hogu's Love' Episode 16 Review (1)

Kang Ho Gu (Choi Woo Shik) never forget Do Do Hee (Uee) and waits for her in front of the photo studio every day at 6 o'clock.

Kang Ho Kyung (Lee Soo Kyung) says goodbye to Byun Kang Chul (Kim Seul Ong).
Ho Kyung says, "Are you sad because I don't like you anymore? I will like someone."
Kang Chul feels abashed that his heart suddenly starts pounding fast.

The lawyer visits Ho Gu and they drink at a cart bar.
Kang Chul suggests that the debut of a webtoon writer talking about someone interested in his cartoon.
But he refuses his proposal saying, "I don't write cartoon because I wanna be someone special."
The smart guy makes biting remarks, "You are selfish. Don't be pretend you are a victim. You like Do Hee for yourself."
Furious Ho Gu aims a blow at Kang Chul and he gets into a scuffle with him outside of the bar.

Ho Gu realized something thanks to Kang Chul decides to try to do something new for him and Do Hee. 

He blames his sister for her fault that she lied to the swimming player but he says, "Don't tell her the truth. It will help her to break her silence and begin to be frank and brave."   

Ho Gu and Do Hee meet in the high school reunion again and confirm their love for each other at the place where they met last.
The young mother gets to know she was completely taken in.
She explodes in anger saying, "Are you, brother and sister swindler?"

Ho Kyung gives wine to Kang Chul for a present.
He finds her fallen down due to her high heel in front of an elevator. Ho Kyung kisses Kang Chul trying to fix her shoe.
He became aware of their kiss is exactly the same as the other kiss 10 years ago gets confused by his first love is Ho Kyung, not Ho Gu.

Kang Chul unexpectedly drops by Ho Kyung's house at night and presses her for her plastic surgery.

He says, "Why did you have cosmetic surgery. You should have appeared before me if you like me. You almost make my life fall into the bottomless pit."

She has her delicate feelings hurt but he never understands that she is hurt because of his remarks.

Ho Gu persuades Do Hee to file a complaint against No Kyung Woo (Kim Hyun Joon) who sexually assaulted her.

"I won't love my baby all the time. Sometimes I will blame him but I love him because he is my son. Can you love him forever?" she asks him.

Ho Gu answers smiling, "Don't slight cuttlefish." 

He pulls a picture frame for the party given to the hundred-day-old baby out of his backpack and she is deeply moved by his love.

Kyung Woo runs against Ho Kyung who is interested in and invites her to have coffee.

She accepts the proposal to arouses the jealousy of the lawyer.

Do Hee visits her company president and let her know she will accuse Kyung Woo of sexual assault.

However, she persuades the player of the agency to get along with him and blames her as Do Hee says, "It is not my fault."

Ho Gu sends a written complaint to Kang Chul.

The lawyer received a letter of the complaint becomes to know the male swimming player is the assailant. 
He takes Ho Kyung by the hand and leads her out of the coffee shop where she was sitting with the attacker.
He apologizes for his slip of the tongue.
The ugly turned beauty says, "Kiss me at a time like this, Nerdy!"
They finally confirm their love for each other and kisses.

Do Hee is under police investigation for the victim of the crime but the policeman is suspicious about her.
Ho Gu bumped into the attacker in the hallway of the police gives the man behaves badly strict warming.
"I will never hit you. I will keep you in a special prison where I made for you. Do you know my name? My name is Ho Gu. Aren't you scared of me?" He says.

A lot of people criticizing her severely come after Do Hee and Ho Gu and try to ruin their wedding.
But she is brave as much as she can hurl abuses at the assailant.
Love is crossing the road taking each other's hands despite the red light.

As time went on, Do Do-Hee enters a swimming competition and wins first prize.
She shares her joy with Ho Gu cheering her on the stand with two babies.

I am lucky to meet the organic romantic drama for a long time.
It gave me a chance to think about not only true love but social problems we have to take care of.  :)

'Hogu's Love' Episode 15 Review

Do Do-Hee (Uee) says chuckling out, "You have changed since you found out you are gay." to Byun Kang Chul (Kim Seul Ong) came home drunk.
And she asks him whether he gets Kang Ho Gu (Choi Woo Shik) out of his head.
The lawyer answers in surprise, "How did you know? One thing is clear. I can understand your thanks to him."

Ho Gu's mother happens to know that Do Hee gave birth to the baby because she was sexually assaulted by her co-worker. The mother visits the son's girlfriend but can't say anything to her.

Do Hee's company president has the baby registered in her official family register to give him up for adoption.
She says, "I am not a bad woman. I am a sensible sort of person." to Ho Gu with a quizzical glance.

Kang Chul visits Kang Ho Kyung (Lee Soo Kyung)'s house because she never answered his text messages.
However, he doesn't seem to notice her because of a face with no make-up.
"I am just passing by." Ho Kyung says improvising. lol

Ho Gu happens to know that Do Hee gave birth to the baby because she was sexually assaulted by the bad guy due to complaints in Kang Chul's house.
The pure guy is in shock. Does Hee leave without a word because she is afraid of her loved one will commiserate her on her misfortune?

Do Hee meets Ho Gu and his younger sister in a bookstore where the new webtoon writer has a fan sign meeting.
Ho Kyung lies a big lie that her brother will get married soon to let her know he is doing well without her. 

Do Hee, who pretty shook up with the news of his wedding, attends the school reunion to run into Ho Gu and she meets Ho Gu arrives late to the restaurant.
They go to the place where they saw last.

In the park near the Han River, she gets to know he wanted to give her a comfort letter when they talked on the phone last time.
"I was happy because of you. I am too late." she holds back her sobs.

Do Hee gazes at Ho Gu crossing the street and runs to her loved one.
Ho Gu kisses her.  :)


Justice will prevail~!

'Hogu's Love' Episode 14 Review

Do Do Hee (Uee) and Kang Ho Gu (Choi Woo Shik) are happy like other young ordinary couple after they confirmed their mind.

Byun Kang Chul (Lim Seul Ong) admitted that he is homosexual and his mother was astonished by the news.

Ho Gu's mother tried to support her sun although she felt a great tug at the sun's cruel fate. Her eyes suffused with tears made me cry.

At last, the truth has come to light. Do Hee was sexually assaulted by a swimming player and her colleague player is the baby's father. She has to be protected as rape victim but the perpetrator spoke in a threatening tone that nobody will believed in her.
On the other hand, Ho Gu heard about the baby's father from the head of Do Hee's entertainment company but never talk to her about that.

Byun Kang Chul (Lim Seul Ong) gave Kang Ho Kyung (Lee Soo Kyung)'s phone number to someone who is interested in her. It broke her heart still loves him.

Do Hee wanted to break up with Ho Gu and he accepted it.

It is still difficult for a rape victim to find a marriage partner in our society.

And a lot of people have been discriminated against because of their sexual orientation.

I hope that the drama help us to take sexual violence problem seriously and lift away perceptions on the sexual minorities.

How should sex education be taught in schools?

Do Do-Hee (Uee) set her face against a teacher force female students to eat chastity candy.

Kang Ho Gu (Choi Woo Shik) volunteered to eat the candy crashed to the ground to help her.

Byun Kang Chul (Lim Seul Ong) told the teacher that he wants to eat chastity candy for sexual equality. Maybe he was to help Ho Gu.

Does Hee buy Ho Gu a lot of Bungeoppang (a fish-shaped bun) to express sincerity? But a coolness sprang up between Do Hee and Ho Gu. He thought that he needs to be tough with her.
Ho Gu said, "Stop flirting to me. You make me crazy." The naive and very giving guy didn't know she loves him and he is her first love. He thought that she just needs someone to rely on. 

Kang Chul is confused about his sexuality.
He gave free vent to his tears at the bar feeling the same way with the plaintiff who is a gay professor and lost the trial.  

Kang Ho Kyung (Lee Soo Kyung) bought seolleongtang (stock soup of bone and stew meat) for the lawyer to bring cheer to him. 

But she says goodbye to him who threw temper tantrums. Kang Chul implored her to help him to solve the sexual identity problems. 

Finally, Ho Gu and Do Hee confirmed their love for each other.
Do Hee said, "How can't I hardly love you drawing beautiful pictures for me?" to Ho Gu wondered why she has his sketchbook."

The baby is sooooo cute. :)

Uee finally gave her son up for adoption.
Choi Woo Sik was worried about the baby because foster parents threw the little boy's belly button(?) away.

Uee and Lim Seulong brought the baby back from the suspicious parents.

She decided to bring up the sun for herself.

Hogu volunteered to be a babysitter for Uee who has to go into training to be a member of the national swimming team.

Hogu got the inside story of the baby is not the son of Uee and the lawyer.

She kissed Hogu all of a sudden after he embraced Do Hee to cheer her up.

Surprisingly, Hogu was the first love of her. And the baby was the son of someone who raped her??? Oh my god...

Another couple Ho Kyeong and Kang Chul's lovey-dovey story is funny.

How can he quite docile? :) He is adorable. 

I'd like to have my own baby whenever I watch the drama.  :(

The pure and genuine love story of the drama makes me smile and warmhearted.  :)

'Hogu's Love' Episode 5 Review

Hogu's Love (Hogu-ui Sarang) is a tvN television series based on the webtoon of the same title.
The reason why it attracted me the first time it deals with a single mother.
There still has been a lot of discrimination against unmarried mothers in Korea despite shifting social attitudes on unwed mothers among the young generation.

Do Do-Hee playing by Uee, a member of the girl group After School, gave birth to a child. No doubt, it is a huge challenge for the young mother and the top-tier swimmer.
The child is a big obstacle for the actress who is the promising athlete on the Korean national swimming squad.
Can she manage to maintain a job and take care of the child at the same time?

I hope that Hogu's Love will be a great help to abolish society's prejudices against single mothers. The perception of single mothers must be changed.
