Queen Inmok (Shin Eun Jung) wakes up from a nightmare where fortune-teller Nam Sa Go reminds her to protect the child. She looks at the bracelet which she brought from the temple.
In a faraway mountain, seven masked men attack people moving sliver on a carrier.
The king finds the hall empty because the ministers refuse to attend the audience with Gwanghae to get against his effort to transfer of the capital to get ready for a war against Nurchaci. The king cancels the royal banquet for Jeongwol Daeboreum. Yi Deok Hyeong (Lee Sung Min) even differs in opinion with the king, and Gwanghae feels like a remote island off the coast.
Queen Inmok meets Yi Deok Hyeong outside of the palace to ask him to help her not only for Yeongchang but also for Gwanghae.
She feels uneasy due to the bracelet and Nam Sa Go's prophecy and regrets that she handed over the throne to Gwanghae five years ago.
Princess Jeongmyeong (Jung Chan Bi) and prince Yeongchang slips out of the palace changing into ordinary clothes to watch wrestling competition because the royal banquet was canceled.
At a tavern, Hong Joo Won (Yoon Chan Young) asks Kang In Woo (Ahn Do Gyu) why he suddenly stopped his study. At the same place, Yeongchang orders huge portions of food while the sister goes to the toilet. She overhears that the king killed Imhae and the next target will be Yeongchang. When she comes back, the tavern owner demands the little boy to pay for the meal but he asks him what he means by money. The owner who is flushed with anger fetches a stick. When the siblings are in trouble, Joo Won comes and helps them out.
Queen returned to the palace finds her son's room is empty. She misunderstands Gwanghae who was absence and Queen Inmok's father even incurs the king's wrath questioning his whereabouts that day, although Gwanghae ordered for the Capital Bureau and the Police Department to solve the missing case.
The missing royals are still walking around to find the way back to the palace and finally fall down with exhaustion.
Joo Won remembers that the girl called the little boy "Grand Prince" after they heard about the missing. Joo Won and In Woo luckily find them and the princess asks Joo Won to bring her brother back to the palace before she passed out.
Jeongmyeong safely returned to the palace bumps into the king on her way to Yeongchang's quarters. Gwanghae feels mistreated at her calling him as his official title instead of a brother. She is also confused at the fact that the kind king can be the siblings' enemy. She calls the king to a halt "Brother, do you remember that you sold the heat to me before? Please buy my heat this year. I hope that it would the same for next year, and years to come."
The king stares at his half-sister with a sad expression on his face. In the distance, Queen Inmok has a doleful expression on her face looking at the two.
Queen Inmok shows Jungmyung the wedding ceremonial robe made for her wedding. The princess is shocked at the surprising news but the mother insists that she can only save her little brother.
Doek Hyung goes to meet Chief Hong and Minister Kang to make one of their sons as the future royal son-in-law. Joo Won and In Woo overheard the conversation of them are also shocked.
On the other hand, Yeongchang tries to sneak out of the palace again and attempts to jump from the wall, but it is too high for the little boy. On the point of his slippery off the wall, when Gwanghae seizes him by the arm.
"Do you afraid of me? I'm afraid of you, too. The young and small..." the king says sadly to Yeongchang who is scared of him, unlike his sister.
