King Injo (Kim Jae Won) regards Crown Prince Sohyeon (Baek Sung Hyun) as his political opponent doubting the truth of the possibilist as well as the reformer and he throws an inkstone at his son. With his head bleeding, the young man cries out like an animal begging the father to see the truth about himself.
People judge others by their lights. :(
Anyway, his acting does him credit.
Kim Ja Jeom (Jo Min-Ki) is openly hostile towards Princess Jeongmyeong (Lee Yeon Hee) backed by the incompetent King but she doesn't submit to threats.
Jeongmyeong is the only person who is never old in 'Hwajung.' lol
The Princess lets the people know about the corruption scandals implicating incumbent senior statesmen including Kang Joo Sun (Jo Sung Ha).
Meanwhile, Kim Ja Jeom incites key retainers to implore on their knees to depose the Crown Prince.
Yi Ja Kyung (Gong Myeong) and Kang In Woo (Han Joo Wan) barely saves Jeongmyeong's life when she is attacked unexpectedly.
I have expected Gong Myeong to become popular with the viewers and leave a deep impression upon them.
Just six episodes to go. I am sad. :(

Jo Yeo Jung (Kim Min Seo) buys off a royal physician to poison Sohyeon.
Hong Joo Won (Seo Kang Joon) wails over the body of his disciple who died a miserable death. Injo cannot help but feel devastated.
It was a big tragedy for Joseon that he died so young. :(
