The man wearing a hat hiding his face comes to their rescue from swordsmen sent by Kang Joo Sun (Jo Sung Ha) when Hong Joo Won (Seo Kang Joon) and Princess Jeongmyeong (Lee Yeon Hee) fall in peril.
Gwanghae (Cha Seung Won) brings a royal physician for Joo Won suffering from a deep wound. He cannot choose but allow Jeongmyeong to help to catch Heo Gyun (Ahn Nae Sang) because has put her foot down on this issue.
Heo Gyun, who is driven into a corner by his opponent's attack, threatens Joo Sun and wangles a Jiroepo (bomb) out of him. Hawi pays a surprise visit to Heo Gyun's hideout and brings into strong relief the fact that they are still on the same side against the King. The Princess lets Gwanghae know about his dirty trick to kill the King on his way to the royal tomb of the preceding king tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Kim Gae Shi (Kim Yeo Jin) makes a call on Queen Inmok (Shin Eun Jung) in Gyeongungung and mentions the prediction of the Nam Sa Go as if she knows everything.
Many royal guards wait in ambush near the tomb but the enemy's attack doesn't begin until the event has finished. Joo Won and Kang In Woo (Han Joo Wan) realize that Heo Gyun employed smokescreen tactics.
Hawi is forced to satisfy Heo Gyun's demands to show him the secret path leading to Hawgidogam and is taken to somewhere by his men. When she is being threatened by them, Yi Ja Kyung (Gong Myeong) extricates her out of danger and Hawi softens into tears looking at her close friend.
Hawi comes back to the Hawgidogam and informs Heo Gyun's tactic to the chief of the organization. Heo Gyun lights the fuse of the Jiroepo to blast not only Hawgidogam but also the King and moves to a place of safety.
Jeongmyeong finds it out in a warehouse for a great amount of gunpowder and tries to tread out a fire. Even though everyone tries to dissuade him, Gwanghae arrives at the place. He is on the point of rushing into the fire to save his sister when the woman walks out of the burning building.
