'The Girl Who Sees Smells' episode 7 Recap

Choi Mu Gak (Park Yoo Chun) gives a briefing on the bar code serial numbers craved on the victims' wrist. And detective Yeum mi (Yoon Jin Seo) explains that the bar code murderer is believed to be a well-educated man of great physical strength, intense self-control, neat personality, and good looks.

In Gwon Jae Hee (Nam Goong Min)'s house, the well-muscled man is working up a sweat hanging upside down. 

Mu Gak paid a visit to Frog Troupe to see Cho Rim hears that she is working as an assistant staff because of him. He brings her to a spicy chicken feet house and leaves her to weep out. 

"Why did you tell troupe leader that I can't do the comedy skits with you anymore?" he asks her.

"I thought that you were not in a good situation to make others laugh," she answers.

"Let's do the comedy skit together. And you may help the investigation. I will protect you as you said. I won't put you in danger while we are together. Write a funny comedy skit instead." he makes her catch hiccups.  

The star chef prepares his crime very thoroughly with a hole proof alibi. He abandons the dead body of Chun Baek Kyung (Song Jong Ho) and Mu Gak and Cho Rim come across the doctor's car in the parking lot of the police station.

"You are the multiple killers. Wake up! Open your eyes! You should have met your death at the hand of mine." Mu Gak wails with rage. 

But the doctor is identified as another victim because of a bar code on his wrist when Yeum mi and other detectives arrive on the spot. 

The next morning, Jae Hee doesn't recognize the face of Cho Rim who goes to work earlier than usual.

"Didn't you think that I was kinda strange when you said "Good morning!" Have you ever heard 'face blindness'? Actually, I have difficulty recognizing faces." he confesses.

She feels sorry for him being misunderstood and is willing to help out. 

(Mu Gaks's sister was maybe killed by him instead of Cho Rim several years ago because of face blindness.) 

  

Cho Rim's friend Ma Ae Ri is unjustly accused of stealing. Cho Rim and Mu Gak retrace suspect and her boyfriend's date course on her SNS pictures to break her alibi. Cho Rim hesitates to recreate a picture that the couple is kissing. Moo Gak comes closer and closer to her but hesitates until a perfect time when bumpy car leads to an unintentional kiss. They find out a hole of the alibi and finally prove that Ae Ri is not guilty. 

(Maybe the writer inserted the scenes with little direct connection to the story to show the couple's romantic kiss??)

Jae Hee recalls that Dr. Chun repeated "Golden fish must meet a lonely man." and he goes to the doctor's storage container. He picks out two books named 'Golden fish' and 'A lonely man' each.

When he is about to leave the place, there is a sense of someone approaching. He pretends to picklock of one next to the doctor.

Mu Gak gets a call before he unlocks the door and the murderer notices that who he is. The detective enters the container and realizes that a rope is swinging. He is bumped into the suspicious man as he rushes outdoors to catch him. Mu Gak looks back at the man in black walking away from him and looks down to see his T-shirt begun to turn red. He falls down on the ground and watches the killer walks away.

Meanwhile, with Gimbap she made for Mu Gak, Cho Rim is waiting for him who is not coming.
